Connecting Kenosha is a graduate capstone project that explores how innovative, multi-modal transportation strategies can better connect people to places across Kenosha, Wisconsin. Developed through public engagement, stakeholder collaboration, and case study analysis of peer cities, the project identifies barriers within the city's existing auto-oriented network and proposes a comprehensive framework for enhancing pedestrian, bicycle, transit, and regional connections. By aligning transportation improvements with emerging developments and community priorities, the plan advances equitable access, supports economic growth, and repositions Kenosha as a more connected, walkable, and livable city. The resulting recommendations offer both near-term and long-term strategies to improve mobility, strengthen neighborhood linkages, and elevate the overall experience of moving throughout the city.
