Abstract

Triaziquone is a purple crystalline solid used as a drug against the protozoan digestive tract parasite, Entamoeba histolyteca, and against tumor growth. It is mcx:lerately soluble in water, and may enter the aquatic environment via effluents from chemical plants where it is manufactured, domestic waste treatment plant discharges, or spills.
