Abstract

This data set catalogues locations and work of sustainable agriculture and food-focused centers and institutes based at U.S. land grant and R1 universities. It does not include schools, programs, clinics, etc.. The database represents 97 sustainable agriculture and food-focused centers and institutes located at 59 universities in 38 states across the U.S.. Based on a comprehensive website analysis, we visualized where these centers are located, categorized the types of work centers and institutes highlighted online, and identified some underrepresented issue areas on which future work could focus.
