    Abstract
The main goal of this research project was to implement the 5S method of lean manufacturing philosophy in the warehouse facility of Company AFF to develop a more efficient and productive inventory system. This project was focused on developing an improved layout of the shelves in the warehouse as well as to sort and label the received items. The lack of organization within the warehouse had resulted in wasted time, lost productivity, and excessive costs. Implementing 5S was intended to assist the company in organizing the warehousing system to become efficient and more profitable. The implementation process was measured by the data collecting process charted on an A3 Form. This form was utilized to identify the existing issues and to develop an action plan to solve the problems. The 5S tool helped in improving and organizing the area and increasing efficiency and effectiveness.
