Health Benchmarks for Lakes: Our Path to the Present
Abstract
"Assessing the health of Wisconsin’s lakes is a key component of DNR’s monitoring work. This talk will take a look back at how our assessments for lakes have evolved over time, leading to legislation that was just passed in 2023 to establish new lake benchmarks for aquatic plants, chlorophyll a, and coldwater fish habitat.
