A survey was conducted among undergraduate students to determine if individuals' knowledge and opinions on abortion and reproductive health topics are related. Previous research has suggested an average correlation between scientific knowledge and attitudes regarding abortion to be around r=.3 (Allum et al., 2008). We hypothesized that individuals with greater knowledge of abortion and reproductive health topics would have more positive views towards abortion compared to those with lower knowledge. We report these findings as well as differences in knowledge and opinions based on gender identity, child-bearing capacity, and other demographic factors.
