Abstract
In this interview, Barbara Anderson discussed her career journey at UW Madison, starting as a student and progressing through various roles, including her current position managing continuing education for the School of Medicine. She highlighted her work in improving teaching skills among physician faculty and expanding interprofessional education. Anderson emphasized the program’s transition to joint accreditation and the implementation of a Learning Management System. She noted the impact of COVID-19 on shifting to virtual education and the importance of maintaining in-person networking. Anderson also reflected on the recognition of her contributions through the Academic Staff Award and the collaborative nature of her work with faculty and staff. This interview was conducted for inclusion into the Academic Staff Award Winners Project of the UW-Madison Archives and Records Management oral history program.
