Transforming supply chain operations
Abstract
With global supply chains becoming more complex and competitive, using advanced technologies is essential for manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution industries. This paper looks at how Automation, Big Data Analytics (BDA), Information Technology (IT), and Artificial Intelligence (AI) are reshaping these sectors with tools such as AI, Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), robotic packing systems, and advanced tracking systems driving significant improvements in efficiency and accuracy. Companies can make smarter decisions and better predict future needs by tapping into data across the entire supply chain. However, the shift to these technologies comes with its own set of challenges. Organizations face high costs, worker displacement concerns, and the need to meet sustainability goals/regulatory requirements. This paper explores both the opportunities and the obstacles, offering a thoughtful analysis of how organizations can successfully adopt these innovations and remain competitive in an ever-changing market space.
