Abstract
In his 2022 interview with Scott Seyforth, Will Handy discusses seeking counseling for being gay as a student at UW in 1968; his work at the Gay Center in the early 1970s; his work with the 1970s gay counseling center, Moon Tree counseling; his founding of Madison AIDS Support Network; his work as co-chair of the Governor's Council on Gay & Lesbian issues (he replaced Dick Wagner after the first year); and his work on the State AIDS Advisory Commission in the 1980s. This interview was conducted for inclusion into the LGBTQ project of the UW-Madison Archives Oral History Program.
