Flores Nocturnas (Blooming at Night) includes photos and essays that document Mexico City-based, multimedia artist Sofia Moreno’s 2024 mid-career retrospective at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire’s Foster Gallery. This catalog features a selection of high-resolution photos by Christopher Sonny Martinez that beautifully capture the artwork and opening reception of Flores Nocturnas. Essays by Rojo Génesis and Eva Pensis, poetry by Gustavo Barahona-López, and an introduction by exhibition curator Rae Langes contribute to this luscious archive of Moreno’s work, which spans over two decades of her career and reflects her invaluable contribution to trans femme and queer centered arts, culture, and community.
