dc.description.abstractA total of four hundred nine fish samples from a total of thirty-eight lakes in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Michigan were analyzed for total mercury (Hg) content at the University of Wisconsin-Superior’s Lake Superior Research Institute (LSRI). Of the 409 fish, three hundred fifty-seven walleye (Sander vitreus) were captured during the spring of 2024 from thirty-six inland lakes, forty-eight lake trout (Salvelinus namaycush) were captured during the fall of 2023 from Lake Superior, and four sturgeon (Acipenser fulvescens) were captured during the spring of 2024 from Yellow Lake, Burnett County, WI.en_US
