This study examines the importance of play and games and movement in the elementary school classroom. It also looks at how comfortable elementary general music teachers are with incorporating them into their classroom. Mixed methods research was utilized for this study. The conclusions from this study can help elementary general music teachers remember the importance of play/games and movement in their classrooms. The conclusions can also assist elementary general music teachers and administration find resources/time to effectively incorporate play/games and movement into their classroom environments.
