This study aimed to determine Wisconsin Technical College educators' readiness to teach the International Classification of Diseases, Eleventh Revision (ICD-11) medical coding system. The study also explored Wisconsin Technical College educators' preparedness for integrating competency-based education and Miller's Pyramid principles based on the resources provided by the Commission of Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management (CAHIIM). The study's objectives were to identify the educators' preparedness for significant changes in ICD-11 and teaching methodologies that incorporate competency-based education and Miller's Pyramid initiatives. The study's results helped determine the current understanding of ICD-11 and CAHIIM's new mandated requirements. The data results also identified Wisconsin Technical College educators' engagements in learning the CAHIIM requirements for competency-based education and Miller's Pyramid and the resources utilized to develop these new principles.
