Abstract
In this June 19, 2024 interview, Jack Holzhueter reminisces about his years as a student and employee at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, focusing especially on LGBTQ+ issues and campus activism during the 1950s, 1960s, and early 1970s. He shares personal stories on how UW-Madison administration treated LGBTQ+ students on campus and the politics of coming out during this time while attending the university. This interview was conducted for the LGBTQ+ project for inclusion into the UW-Madison Archives and Records Management Oral History Program.
