    Abstract
    In her June 2022 interview with Troy Reeves, Brenda Spychalla reflects on milestones of her career in IT at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She discusses her background of research in analyzing systems, developing and becoming co-director of MERIT, involvement in IT governance, tasks and necessary skills of her job, and winning an Academic Staff Award. This interview was conducted for the inclusion into the Academic Staff Award Winner (ASAW) Project for the UW-Madison Archives & Records Management oral history collection.
