VISION 2025 : Emphasis on the Directory of Programs Initiative

Abstract

The goal of the Directory of programs initiative is to create a publicly available directory of academic programs that are recognized as either already developed programs or aspiring programs available for students seeking a career in leadership in the senior care and services field. The overall goal of VISION 2025 is to foster the creation of 25 robust and sustainable university and college programs across the country, establish 1,000 paid field internships to allow students a great developmental experience while not having to worry about financial issues, and to create 15-20 mutually beneficial university and provider partnerships. The creation of a Directory of Programs is the responsibility of one of the workgroups of VISION 2025. The Directory is important to the initiative to help future students have a place where they can find vital information about different programs across the country.
