    Abstract
Since 2001, the University of Wisconsin (UW-Extension, 2001–2017; UW–Madison Division of Extension, 2018–2023) has created a public directory of Wisconsin’s for-hire manure application industry each year. This directory includes basic information on the type of manure transportation and application equipment used. This document summarizes the data from these annual directories providing insight into equipment and technology trends and adoption by the for-hire manure application industry. The for-hire manure application industry handles more than half of the liquid manure volume generated by Wisconsin's dairy farms.
