    Abstract
Strong Children’s Research Center (SCRC) is a multidisciplinary, collaborative research center that houses summer research programs at the University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC). The summer program I attended was the SCRC Summer Program. The SCRC Summer program has been, for 32 years now, pairing students with mentors in clinical, basic, and translational research from a variety of pediatric disciplines. At the end of the summer, students present their results at a poster session for the whole Department of Pediatrics at the URMC. Furthermore, many students become co authors on manuscripts incorporating their research.
