    Abstract
Our research aims to find a sustainable alternative to traditional cheese packaging by addressing a critical issue: the recyclability of current film formats. To be successful these new materials need to be able to meet several criteria: they must be cost efficient, rapidly producible, effective in preserving and protecting the cheese and environmentally sustainable. However, challenges persist, as many facilities lack the infrastructure for proper material breakdown due to cost concerns. Our focus is on finding solutions that maintain crucial film properties like moisture control while minimizing food waste and preventing contamination throughout the packaging lifecycle.
