Oral History Interview, George Croal (1138)
Abstract
In his June 2011 interview with Troy Reeves and Mike Lawler, George Croal detailed his thoughts and memories as a graduate student on the UW-Madison campus and as an officer/detective for the Madison Police Department. Croal spoke of the time period between 1964 and the early 1980s and on the following topics: undercover police, Vietnam war protests, student publications, Sterling Hall and other campus bombings, the Barbara Hoffman case, and the book Rads. This interview was conducted for inclusion into the UW-Madison Oral History Program, specifically for the collaboration with the Wisconsin Story Project on the Sterling Hall Bombing.
