Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) includes cyclic characteristics of physical, cognitive, affective, and behavioral symptoms and occurs in 90% of reproductive-aged females. There is a growing need for research on how non-drug therapies can potentially mitigate PMS symptoms. In past literature, there is mostly a focus on aerobic exercise (AE). This study compares resistance exercise (RE) to AE and its acute effect on PMS.
