    Abstract
Employee onboarding is essential to ensuring the success of employees new to a role or organization. A successful onboarding process can lead to higher productivity and efficiency levels for a company. The lack of, or the presence of, an onboarding process that is not adequate can lead to an array of issues for both employees and the organization. Utilizing instructional design elements in designing an employee onboarding can enhance the effectiveness of the onboarding process. Significant elements of an employee onboarding process include compliance, clarification, culture, and connection. This study will explore the potential correlation between an employee onboarding system and the likely effects of the process on employee satisfaction, engagement, and retention rates.
