Undergraduate teaching assistants are used in many universities and provide benefit to the faculty, students in the class, and the teaching assistants themselves. Previous research has yielded helpful and actionable findings about Communication Sciences and Disorders teaching assistant outcomes; however there has not yet been an investigation into
optimal weekly meeting formats. Researchers studying the science of team meetings have identified several key characteristics that promote meeting effectiveness. Prior to this study, faculty at a Midwestern university met with IIs but did not follow a standardized, structured meeting. The purpose of this research is to determine the effectiveness and potential benefits of
utilizing a structured meeting agenda to guide weekly meetings between faculty instructors and student instructional interns (II).
