    Abstract
With the increasing emphasis on environmental science in many school curricula, activities which utilize small ecosystems for demonstration and study assume great importance. Aquaria are one of the best means of structuring these activities, allowing students the opportunity to observe a variety of life forms. For example, they provide convenient cage for small animals, including mammals reptiles, amphibians, and insects, as well as aquatic life.
