    Abstract
The classification schedule herein, is intended for use with special collections focused on hazards, both natural and human-caused. Unfortunately, the original authors are now unknown but, historically, this system originates during the 1970s, at the Natural Hazards Center, University of Colorado Boulder. This revision, made in 2022 and 2023, is intended to layer in a modicum of equity through the use of geo-polity sub-divisions. It is to future generations of librarians to make the determination of whether or not this revised edition succeeds in its implementation.
