    Abstract
The purpose of this research was to answer the question: "What are teacher's perceptions of trauma informed care in their school district?" A descriptive, quantitative study was conducted to determine the answer to this question. This study included a data analysis of 41 elementary teachers' responses to an electronic survey based on a Likert scale to determine the teachers' opinions and perceptions related to trauma informed care in their district. Some of the findings from this study were inconsistent with previous research, specifically regarding secondary trauma and finding a balance between supporting students academically as well as emotionally. However, other findings from this study were consistent with previous research regarding teacher's hesitancy in their role when it comes to trauma informed care and the lack of trauma informed care protocols.
