This study evaluated whether co-teaching affected high school students more than one
teacher teaching. The researcher determined whether students received higher grades in a
co-taught classroom versus a one-teacher taught classroom by gathering data on the
second quarter grades of the participants and organizing them into categories to
determine what contributed to the grade discrepancies. This study also investigated
whether students enjoyed learning in a co-taught environment versus an environment
with one teacher. Four participants took part in an interview to determine their
perceptions. The researcher asked questions to develop an understanding of the benefits,
drawbacks, and personal gains made through co-teaching. The collection of student data
provided teachers with a more sound understanding of when, where, and with whom to
implement co-teaching
