    Abstract
In his February 2007 interview, Dr. Greg Downey shares his thoughts and memories spanning from his time as a student in the mid 1980s all the way up to his time as a UW-Madison professor at the time of interview. He touches on various topics related to the fields he is involved in in academia, including computer and information studies, communications, history of science and technology, and geography. He addresses questions related to how his departments function at UW-Madison, along with how he manages time and involvement given his unique cross-departmental responsibilities between the school of Journalism and Mass Communications and School of Library and Information Studies. This interview was conducted for inclusion into the UW-Madison Archives & Records Management oral history collection.
