These students were identified in the high needs range when fourteen classroom teachers
completed the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ) as guided by the Department of
Public Instruction in October 2017. This was part of the Universal Behavioral Screening within a
school district in the Midwest. Teachers then completed a follow-up Strengths and Difficulties
Questionnaire in February 2018. Questionnaire results used in this study were derived from
existing quantitative data with multiple data points, allowing a comparison in scores from
October 2017 and February 2018.
