    Abstract
In this interview conducted by Paige Schulz, as part of the oral history collection of the UW-Madison Archives COVID-19 project, Samantha Gusho shares her personal story of her job, as a nurse, during the COVID-19 pandemic. She touches on the protocols mandated at the start of the pandemic, to the measures healthcare workers had to take while risking their lives to help patients. Along with these topics she also explained the toll her mental health and personal well being took during this time. This interview is part of a contribution from the Madison Mourns Collective, a collaborative group making space for loss in the Madison community, and is being stored within the Oral History Program at the UW-Madison Archives.
