    Abstract
    During Grandparents University, Renewable Energy Studies Major Jake Matzke, age 13, interviews his grandfather, David Foulkes, about how his relationship with energy has changed since his childhood. Foulkes describes how his first personal encounter with renewable energy via a rooftop solar heater and his belief that climate change has been caused - yet also has great hopes to be fixed - by mankind. This story was collected in collaboration with the Wisconsin Energy Institute (WEI) and is being stored within the Oral History Program at the UW-Madison Archives.
