    Abstract
    In this interview conducted by Jessica Rosas as part of the oral history collection of the UW-Madison Archives COVID-19 project, Maria Stakem discusses the difficulties she faced during the COVID-19 pandemic in connection to her academic achievement. She addresses many factors that played a role in her learning during the pandemic such as family responsibilities, virtual learning, personal and academic habits, and mental health. This interview is part of a contribution from the Madison Mourns Collective, a collaborative group making space for loss in the Madison community.
