    Abstract
Editor's Note: Prometheus was in danger of extinction this year. The Finance Committee's recommendation of $500.00 would have forced Prometheus to cease publication. Luckily, this was avoided. An amendment was passed to restore Prometheus to publishing levels. I would especially like to thank Rick Hutter, our former editor, for his help, and those SSA Senators who supported our organization. I hope that in the future those who hold the purse strings will realize that the arts are an essential part of university life. We would like to thank our judges for the fine job they did in selecting our 1985-86 award winners. They are: Art -Ed Wong and Paul Delong Poetry -Robert Schuler and Paul Schmidt Photography - Sue Hunt and Claudia Smith Non-Fiction - Susan Thurin and Evelyn Jenson Fiction -Robert Horan and Emmanuel Teye Finally, I would like to thank our advisor Warren Lang and Lynn, John and Gret-chen for all of their time and dedication.
