In her 2017 interview with Kristen Whitson, Stephanie Marquis details her career path and current position as Director of Communications - University Relations for the University of Wisconsin System. In this oral history, Marquis explains why she decided to enroll at UW-Madison after years in the workforce and reflects on her experience as a non-traditional student. After earning a Bachelor's degree in Communications from UW-Madison, Marquis worked as a news reporter, then in public relations for the Department of Health and Family Services. She worked under both the Doyle and Walker administrations before joining the UW System in 2016.
