    Abstract
This research aims to educate and shed light on the impact that different pour strip designs have on the construction process of mid to high-rise concrete buildings. Whether the pour strip designs are self-supporting or not, the industry has a lot to learn as it relates to handling pour strips. With any obstacle there is always room for further education and innovation. The research within specifically analyzes how the formwork contractor is effected and aims to quantify the schedule and cost impacts, as well as explore possible alternatives. The goal is to create a dialogue within the industry to aid in tackling different pour strip designs. The data analyzed in this research is limited to projects in Wisconsin and Minnesota but is believed to be applicable for projects that have a pour strip incorporated in the structures design. This research is mostly limited to the knowledge of formwork and concrete frame contractors alike and can certainly be expounded on.
