In her 2012 interview, Lori Berquam talked about her position as Dean of Students at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She spoke of Madison’s gay and lesbian community. She also discussed dealing with her sexuality as an undergraduate and coming out to her family, who supported her. Berquam traced changes over time with respect to the LGBTQ community in Madison, and described room for improvement within Madison at large. She also spoke about her efforts to foster inclusion among not only LGBTQ people, but other under-represented groups on campus as well.
