    Abstract
In an effort to discover more about the reasons behind drop, fail, and withdrawal (DFW) rates, information was gathered from PeopleSoft, Navigate, and Outlook to aid in identifying common patterns and reasons for DFSs in 100-level online courses from fall 2019 through spring 2021. The two courses reviewed were COMM 104 Film and Culture and COMM 110 Introduction to Communication.
