The purpose of this study was to determine the root cause of common errors made by medical recruiters during the quality control process of preparing healthcare applicant accession packets with regards to credentialing and privileging. After an understanding of the common errors was achieved, a training solution and plan for implementation was designed and developed to bridge the knowledge gap of current and future medical recruiters to help increase their ability to be more effective and efficient when performing their jobs. A literature review was conducted to gain an understanding of the existing research in the areas of credentialing, privileging, adult learning theories, instructional design systems, and organizational change. The change model used in this study was Lewin’s Change Model, which helped to facilitate change that was required to sustain the proposed training solution. The training and implementation plan created was provided as part of the deliverables to the client; however, implementation was outside the scope of the study.
