Repeat toxicity tests of the amphipod, Gammarus pseudolimnaeus, wtih selenite and selenate

Abstract

The Center for Lake Superior Environmental Studies (CLSES) of the University of Wisconsin-Superior has conducted two static acute toxicity tests with the amphipod Gammarus pseudolimnaeus exposed to sodium selenite(SeIV) and sodium selenate(SeVI). The tests were repeat exposures of tests conducted 18 months earlier by CLSES staff (Brooke et al. 1985). The results of these tests are in reasonable agreement with the earlier tests conducted on 20 September and 7 October 1985.
