Abstract
In these digital interviews conducted in November 2006 and February 2018, Michele Besant talks about the significant growth of Madison and changes at the University and city in general. She then discusses her parents’ background and education, childhood apartments, and her experience growing up and living in university towns and intellectual background. She also goes into her past, as she was born in Madison, Wisconsin where her parents moved around frequently.
