    Abstract
    In her November 2014 interview with Kathleen Conti, Mary Gallagher relates her experiences as a math educator from the 1960s to the 2010s. Born and raised in Virginia, she discusses her education and educational expectations as a young woman in mathematics, and chronicles the various places in which she’d taught a variety of subjects to a variety of audiences. She offered reflections on educational practice, a number of places, and about Madison as a community and a university. This interview was conducted for inclusion into the UW-Madison Oral History Program.
