    Abstract
    A tape recorded conversation between Harold Halfin and Lee Smalley that took place on November 13, 2009. Harold Halfin served at Stout from 1953 until his retirement in 1986. He taught general metals and welding as well as courses in the machine shop. Later he was appointed the first program director of the graduate program in vocational education. Lee Smalley joined the Stout faculty in 1965 in the Industrial Teaching Program and became one of the founders of the future studies program. He retired in 1992.
