    Abstract
A tape recorded interview with Fannie Quilling conducted in Nov. 1985 by Lois Anderson. Fannie Decker Quilling, the daughter of James Decker, was born on April 1, 1895. She graduated from Menomonie High School in 1912, and attended Oberlin Conservatory of Music in Oberlin, Ohio where she earned a degree in public school music and majored in voice. She married Erwin Quilling in 1916. As this interview attests, she was an active member of The First Congregational Church of Menomonie.
