    Abstract
Reminiscence talk given by Robert Melrose on February 18, 1988 at Memorial Student Center, University of Wisconsin-Stout. The talk was part of the Reminiscence Luncheon series which was sponsored by the English Department and funded by the Stout Foundation. The talk includes many humorous and revealing stories including the campus during World War II; his failure at Stout shop courses in woodworking, sheet metal, and printing; letting his classes out early during the Cuban Missle Crisis, John Kennedy in Menomonie, and his philosophy of teaching.
