Abstract
In her September 2010 interview with Char Tortorice, Karen Schwarz relates her experiences and perspectives about being both classified and academic staff at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She discusses her memories of the beginnings of academic staff governance on campus, and advises what issues might be important to future generations of academic staff. This interview was conducted for inclusion into the UW-Madison Oral History Program.
