    Abstract
    A tape recorded interview of John A. Jarvis conducted on December 12, 1978 by Dr. Norman Ziemann representing the Stout Oral History Program. Dr. Jarvis was employed at Stout from 1946-1973. During that time he served as a teacher, Dean, Director of Summer Session, Vice President of Academic Affairs, and Acting President. The interview includes discussion of his early life and education, Verne C. Fryklund and William J. Micheels, accreditation at Stout, curricula at Stout, industrial education, merger, Stout Faculty, J.E. Ray, tenure, grant funding, and miscellaneous information.
