Company XYZ provided contract food service management in the healthcare segment in acute care, independent and long-term care, and behavior health facilities. Company XYZ had faced an ongoing challenge of maintaining par staffing levels at the ABC Healthcare sites since taking over the accounts in 2016. Failure to remedy the problem would result in the client cancelling the contract and Company XYZ losing the Company’s largest Healthcare account. The purpose of the is study was to identify factors that were contributing to the inability to maintain par staffing levels at Company XYZ’s largest healthcare account and to develop a mitigation plan. The research identified several factors that contributed to the inability to maintain par staffing levels at Company XYZ’s largest healthcare account, ABC Healthcare and will aid in the development of a mitigation plan. The mitigation plan includes a sample Balanced Scorecard™ to support consistent measurement and accountability.
