    Abstract
The primary objective of this project was to provide some·· of the basic data required to promote efficient management of the fishery resources on 'the Lac Du Flambeau Reservation. The need for the information is suggested by the importance of these resources, the fishing effort directed at certain populations, the economic advantages of an expanded fishery and by the introduction of exotic species which could impact on the resource. Information developed through this study will be used to develop a basic management plan, to gain and maintain out- - side support for management activities, such as expanded hatchery and fingerling rearing facilities, and to provide the proper focus for more intensive research, which may be required to develop a comprehensive management program.
