    Description
    The Department of Human Development, Family Living and Community Educational Service began operation in September 1970 as an instructional unit within the School of Home Economics. Courses offered by the Department were in home economics education, child development, and family relationships. Other programs in research and service to the school, community, and state were also initiated at that time.
