dc.descriptionJames Bensen was born April 8, 1937. He received his B.S. from Bemidji State University, M. S. from the University of Wisconsin - Stout, and his Ed. D from Pennsylvania State University. Bensen joined the faculty at Stout in 1966 as a professor of industrial education. In 1976, he was named as Assistant Dean of the School of Industry & Technology and in 1980 he became dean of that school. Throughout his career Bensen has been active in professional and community organizations. He resigned from Stout in 1989 to become president of Dunwoody Institute.en_US
